Annabel Karmel is ‘the children’s food guru’.
She has written a string of bestselling books on feeding and weaning children with wholesome, healthy and easy to cook meals, and her books are very popular with my family. Annabel is a pioneering food writer and an expert in creating tasty, nutritious and innovative meals for children that can be prepared quickly and easily by parents.

My Mom and Aunts both used her cookery books to create homemade meals for the children in the family, and with 20 years between myself and my youngest sibling I often used Annabel Karmel recipes to whip up quick meals for my sister. Annabel’s books offer step-by-step pictorial instructions, the recipes are easy to follow, and ingredients are easy to find. They taste great too – if you like pureed things!?
She has also written books for fussy eaters and for older kids – her tips on healthy lunchbox snacks are great. If you haven’t already heard of her, check her out. Any advice which comes from Annabel Karmel books make weaning and pleasing fussy eaters so much easier.
She also produces a great range of weaning tupperware – so you can free up those ice cube trays!

I’m glad we already have a library of these books between us as a family that I can use when the time comes for me to be a Mommy. You can click here for a few of my recipes, and also my English to American and back again ingredient, weights and measures library.
Have you tried and tested the Annabel Karmel books?
